Comya Global was created with the aim of becoming the alternative to big communications agencies, serving as a single network of boutique agencies delivering a personalized service with a broad local knowledge base in each country. The network came into being in Latin America, the United States and the Caribbean in 2004 and was officially launched in Florida, USA in January 2005.

We are represented in Argentina, Bahamas, Bermuda, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, United States, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, and Peru.

Our plans include expansion into other regions, such as Europe, Asia and Africa.

Today Comya Global is formed by 15 communications agencies across Latin America, the Caribbean and the United States. We have a presence in 18 markets, a combined billing of US$7 million, employ close to 200 staff and handle a portfolio of approximately 260 clients.

The Name of the Game

We are proud of Comya Global as the name originated with us...Illuminarte Communications Ltd, the lead agency for Jamaica for the network. It was inspired by "Com Yah" a Jamaican colloquial term/command which means "come to me now, come here now, join me." It is also a contraction for "communicate/communications."

Comya Global also works well in other languages. We are especially proud that Jamaica leads the way and as we would say in Jamaican parlance "we gone large, our name gone abroad." In addition to many others, we are confident that Jamaicans and Jamaican companies all over the world are sure to identify well with the name Comya Global.
