She is also a former fellow
of the Swedish Institute
of Management where she pursued postgraduate studies in Advanced
International Management. On a USAID
Award to the Jamaican Institute of Management she also holds certification
in Telemarketing Sales Management from the American Management
Association in New York.
A scholarship recipient of the Inter American Foundation, Alison
pursued an Inter
American Development Bank Sponsored Conference on Corporate
Social Responsibility (CSR) in Panama where she participated in
a special session of the Global Report Initiative.
She is an Executive Member of the United Nations Association of
Jamaica, a member of the Jamaican German Society, the Alliance
Francaise of Jamaica and the Venezuelan Institute of Cultural
Cooperation.
Alison is the former Corporate Communications Manager at the Jamaica
National Building Society (JNBS) where she established the
Society’s Public Relations Department and was instrumental
in making it a household name in Jamaica and the region.
Her work at JNBS is widely recognised and has earned her several
awards, including “Principal at large” for Secondary
Schools in the Eastern Region of the Island, an honour bestowed
on her by the JNBS sponsored Eastern Secondary Schools’
Sports Association Championships for the major initiatives she
introduced to make for the success of the programme over the years.
She served the JNBS for over 14 years in various capacities including
Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising Manager as well as
Staff Director.
A Patron and member of the Company Dance Theatre, she is also
a founding member of the troupe’s Repertory Ensemble, an
offshoot of the Tony Wilson School for Modern Dance.
Alison’s many interests include International Business and
International Relations, the Arts, Culture, Travel, Creative and
Travel Writing. She is also a budding flautist
